Lakeside Park Master Plan Meeting Set For Monday 6/29

25-Jun-2020

The talk was hot and heavy for a number of months, and then not much has been discussed publicly in regards to the Lakeside Park Master Plan. Now, city residents are being invited to a public information meeting being hosted by the City of Fond du Lac Monday, June 29. The meeting will be located in the Legislative Chambers of the City/County Government Center, 160 S. Macy Street, prior to the monthly Advisory Park Board meeting. A summary will be provided of work elements planned for the remainder of 2020, including a Pavilion rehabilitation project and feasibility study for other master plan elements.  A short presentation will be held at 4:30, with City staff available to answer questions regarding the plans.

Let's build a pavilion where people have to social distance and large groups are not supposed to gather. At the same time we cancel every event this facility may be used for.

Yea, let's hit the taxpayers up for some more city expenses. This can't be put off for a while? The senior's of Fond du Lac, along with the rest of us, are going to see major property tax increases already. The added expense of this whole COVID thing will go on our taxes. The $110 million the schools got will be going on our taxes. Business after business has closed in Fond du Lac, which will result in less taxes from them, so home owners will need to come up with the difference. Again, more taxes for us. A sensible council member would request this and all other expenses e put on hold, and see how this whole thing turns out. Do we have any council members willing to actually help the taxpayer?
