Lakeside Park Master Plan Will Cost Twenty Thousand Dollars

Fond du Lac Public Works Director Jordan Skiff this week gave the City Council some estimated costs on improvements to Lakeside Park suggested by the Lakeside Park Exploratory Committee. The figures were for proposed Capital Improvement Projects over the next 7 to 8 years. It included a master plan for the park. City Council President Lee Ann Lorrigan says it would be a possible guide as personnel changes occur on the Council and City staff over the years. Lorrigan says dealing with the Emerald Ash Borer when it gets to the park could limit some of that spending on capital improvements for the park. Committee chairman Dr. John Short will be back in front of the Council at their next meeting to answer questions about the committee’s recommendations now that the Council has had time to absorb them. Lorrigan says some interesting things came out of that report. She says most important people are interested in having access to the park and water.
