Lloyd Runs For Congress

A Columbia County farmer is one of the two candidates for the 6th Congressional District seat. Sarah Lloyd, a Democrat, faces Republican incumbent Glenn Grothman next month. She recently traveled to Fond du Lac for a meeting about transportation concerns. She says one of her issues is that higher populated areas are getting more transportation funding at the expense of rural areas. She says she would fight for a fairer distribution of resources for our infrastructure. Lloyd also feels we should stop the Trans Pacific Partnership and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. She also says NAFTA and CAFTA should be renegotiated because they are not supporting family farmers or workers but really are just giveaways to the multinational corporations. She has served two terms on the Columbia County Board and was appointed to the National Diary Board. Lloyd says special interests have too much say, while the people do not.
