Wells Sit Goes Dark For The
Winter

property, but it’s being prepared for Commonwealth Development which will take
it over. Community Development Director Dyann Benson says people watched the
demolition and roof repairs to a building on the southern end of the property.
She says the next step involved getting a storm water permit from the DNR and
the work associated with that. She says the work associated with that isn’t
really feasible during the winter.
United Way Less Restrictive About
“Black Out” Period For Fundraising
At one time the Fond du Lac
Area United Way was a little more restrictive about a “black out” period in
which it required agencies it contributed to not to fund raise during the
United Way campaign. United Way Executive Director Tina Potter says that’s not
the case any more, but they do ask that agencies try not to send out a fund
raising appeal letter during the campaign. She says those agencies do good work
and the
isn’t the only source of funding for those agencies. The
year hoping this campaign to raise $745,000 for them.

Home prices in
have tapered off. They’ve been steadily increasing, but not at an alarming
rate. So says Dave Clark of the Wisconsin Realtors Association.
He says for the year to date in 2014,
median home prices in the state are up two-and-a-half percent, to just under
150-thousand-dollars.
