FDL Fire Dept Requests Adopt A Hydrant For The Winter

Fond du Lac Fire Department officials are asking residents to keep a few things in mind as the snow piles up this winter. Division Chief of Fire Preventtion Troy Haase (HAH-zee) says they are asking people to adopt a fire hydrant if it’s near their home and shovel it out. He says it saves them time if they have to respond for a fire and could even save a home. He says it’s also important to keep your house address free of ice and snow so it’s readable.
