Black Friday Safety

Shoppers are out in full force today and while your out getting those great deals, make sure the Grinch doesn’t ruin your holiday shopping.   Officer Steve Olson of the Fond du Lac Police Department has a couple of tips to make sure you have a great day of shopping.  He says that make sure you only buy as much as you can carry to your car, save all of your receipts, and if you are going to leave things in your vehicle make sure they are not in plane sight where someone may be tempted to take them.  He also reminds you to keep an eye on your wallet or billfold as pick-pockets love big crowds.

Don’t Get Tagged For OWI

As the gun-deer season winds down this weekend, hunters are reminded not to drink and drive during your last days at deer camp.  The Wisconsin DOT has placed gas pump toppers at convenience stores across the state.  Randy Romanski of the Bureau of Transportation Safety says they hope the gas station toppers remind hunters to be safe on the roads this weekend will prevent them from getting “tagged” for OWI this weekend.
