Grothman Says President Going To Far With Executive Order On
Immigration

Congressman-Elect Glenn Grothman says President Obama can’t
take the law into his own hands and sign an executive order granting “deferred
action” to two groups of illegal immigrants. The Republican lawmaker from
Campbellsport says even if the President is frustrated with Congress not
passing an immigration bill there is the proper way to do things. He says it
would have been like Governor Walker signing Act 10 into law without the state
legislature passing it first. Grothman says it may not stand up to a
constitutional challenge and it won’t be the first time that’s happened for the
president.

NFDL Schools Facilities Study Unveiled Monday Night

Bray Architects will present findings from a facility study
to the North Fond du Lac School
Board Monday night. District Administrator Aaron Sadoff says the
district needs to have a long term facilities and budget plan. He says they
have a number of aging facilities could save on energy costs by at the very
least doing some remodeling. He says the development of a Facility and Budget
Committee doesn’t necessarily mean they are looking at a referendum, but they
are retiring a previous referendum’s debt. Bray presentation to the North Fond
du Lac School
Board will be at 5:15 p.m. in the District Meeting Room.

Winter Forecast

The unseasonably cold weather we’ve experienced over the
last week is just a taste of the winter that might be ahead. Fond du Lac County
Communications and Emergency Management Director Jim McNabb says a conference
he attends takes a look at things like the winter ahead. He says last year the
forecast was right on and the prediction for this winter calls for more cold. He
says there won’t be as much snow accumulation as last winter, but it will be a
mostly cold winter that will drag on.
