Voter ID

With the U.S. Supreme Court putting a hold on Wisconsin’s voter ID law, it looks like you won’t have to show an ID at the polls on November 4th.  Fond du Lac County Clerk Lisa Freiberg says as of right now its elections will run like they have in the past….you are already registered you’ll just have to state your name and address and sign the poll book, and you’ll be given a ballot. Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen stated earlier today that they are exploring the Supreme Court’s concerns over the law and still have voter ID on election day.

YPF Casino Night A Success

Incredible generosity helped to make the Young Professionals of Fond du Lac recent Casino Night fundraiser a tremendous success! As a result they were able to present a $5,750 check donation to the Fondy Food Pantry. “Fondy Food Pantry is extremely grateful to YPF for selecting our organization as the recipient for this year's Casino Night donation,” stated Sarah Zimmerman, president of the Fondy Food Pantry.  The Casino Night was held at the South Hills Golf & Country Club on Friday, September 19th. The event also helped to stock the shelves as attendees donated to a food drive, filling over six donation bins! “The cash donation will be used to purchase individual meal items for our weekend kids food program, Food for Thought, as well as food items for our family food boxes,” explained Zimmerman.  “Thank you again to everyone involved.  The donation is greatly needed and much appreciated!”
