Constituents Don’t Bring Up Much During Recent Senate Office Hours

State Senator Rick Gudex says constituents haven’t reported too many problems at his recent district office hours. He says if anyone has a problem with a state government issue or program they normally will bring it up. He says people are waiting to get their tax returns next year to reap the benefits of the tax relief that was approved. The state legislature recently ended its session, but a special session will be called to approve additional funding for Medicare patients who have BadgerCare insurance and need more time to switch to the government’s Affordable Care program.

Trail Cameras Okay To Use During Gun Deer Season

A warden with the state’s Department of Natural Resources says it’s okay to use trail cameras during the gun-deer season. Ben Nadolski who works out of the Waupun office says you can’t use them on federal land, but they are permissible to use on state land outside of special use areas like campgrounds and hiking trails. She says if you do use them on state land you are doing so at your own risk. He says you should have your name and address or your customer service number on it so wardens can identify who it belongs to if there are any issues. He says it has to be labeled in a way so that they don’t have to manipulate the camera.
