NFDL Business Park Offer Could Close Next Week

North Fond du Lac Village Administrator Chuck Hornung says they could close on the purchase of vacant property in the Northgate Business Park as soon as next week. He says they are waiting to hear on a State Trust Fund Loan of nearly $658,000, but have already gotten approval. He says $600,000 will be used to purchase the property from the firm MLG, $50,000 will be used to clean up the vacant properties and the rest will be used for fees attached to the loan. MLG is divesting itself of such properties and Hornung says village officials may be able to better market the business park.

Drivers Reminded To Keep Their Distance Behind Snow Plows

Fond du Lac County officials are reminding residents to stay at least 200 feet behind snow plows on highways and county roads during the winter season. County Highway Commissioner Tom Janke says snow plow drivers need room to maneuver and if you can’t see their mirrors they can’t see you. Olig says it would be better to stay 500 feet behind the plows.

Nadolski says you can now download an app at the DNR’s website for 99 cents that will provide you with that information. He says it runs off your GPS and tells you the start and stop time that day for where you are located.
