Investigation Continues Into Alleged Shots Fired


Fond du Lac police continue to investigate a report of shots
that were fired during the early morning hours Thursday.  We were sent to
the Speedway Gas station on West
Johnson St
and Seymour St at approximately 1:49 a.m. on
09-04-14 for a report that a male subject ran into the store and stated that he
needed help because he was being shot at.   The victim a 29-yr old
man from Milwaukee
stated he was in the 100 block area of N. Butler St when he was allegedly
confronted by some subjects who began firing shots at him.  He then ran to
the Speedway
station.  They did collect some evidence at the scene.   The
victim is not fully cooperating or forthcoming with our investigators.

6th OWI


The Fond du Lac Police Department
arrested a 46 year-old Black
River
Falls

man Thursday morning at 12:39 a.m. for 6th offense OWI.  The man was
in town to pick up his wife who was released from the Fond du Lac County
Jail, they apparently stopped at a local establishments to celebrate her
release.  Officers spotted his vehicle driving erratically in the area of Main and Scott
Street
and stopped the car.  The driver
appeared to be intoxicated and the officers noticed numerous empty beer cans in
the back seat area of the vehicle.  The driver failed field sobriety tests
and was arrested for OWI 6th and 3 counts of felony bail jumping. 

 

Bridge Repair

The Fond du Lac County
Highway Department would like to inform the public of bridge repairs on County
Trunk Highway VV (Pioneer Road)
between S. Military Road
and Johnson Street
(STH 23).  CTH VV will be closed between Sullivan Drive and Grove Street beginning on Monday
September 8th, 2014, and weather permitting will re-open about two weeks
later.  There will be a signed detour route directing traffic to use CTH
VVV (the west frontage road) during these repairs.

MPTC Board Adds Member

 

MPTC Names New Board Member


The Moraine Park District
Board has appointed Judy Lux of Fond
du Lac
to their district board.  Lux will replace Lisa Mader who departed
after serving four terms.  Moraine Park
also swore in two additional members recently, Lowell Prill of Brandon and Mike
Miller of West Bend.  Each begin another three year term on the
board.
