FDL City Council Update

 

The Fond du Lac City Council
tonight will consider amending a city ordinance regarding parking violations.
It will help the City when it switches to a new citation management provider.
Community Development Director Dyann Benson says the new provider has enhanced
online capacity to better serve clients. She says that should help eliminate
many of the complaints staff has received over customer service. Public Works
Director Jordan Skiff will also provide the Council with an update on the Bike
Loop Design. The Council meets at 6 p.m. at the City-County Government
Center
.

 

Democrats
Disappointed Something Was Not Done About Student Debt

 

State
Senate Minority Leader Jennifer Shilling says she’s disappointed the
legislature didn’t do something about rising student debt during the recent
session. She says Senate Democrats proposed allowing students to refinance
their student debt. She says people can refinance just about every kind of personal
debt, why not student debt as well. She says people can refinance home loans,
mortgages and car loans.

 

Ignite
Youth Idea Challenge Event

 

Young area
entrepreneurs will be showcasing their ideas tonight as part of Ignite Of Fond
du Lac County’s Youth Idea Challege at Marian
University’s Stayer Center.  Mike Winkler says that students submitted an
original idea earlier this year and tonight they will pitch them “Shark Tank”
style and would like to see the community support them.  Festivities will begin with a reception at
6pm.

Talkers Near The Top of Heavy 100.

 

Talkers
Magazine, the premiere source for information in the news-talk radio business,
has released their “Heavy 100” list of top talk radio hosts in the country and
once again KFIZ’s talkers are right are considered some of the best.  Sean Hannity (M-F, 2pm-5pm & Sunday
6pm-9pm) comes in at #2 on the list. 
Dave Ramsey (M-F, 7pm-9pm & Sunday, 9am-Noon) is 3rd while Mark
Levin (M-F, 5pm-7pm) is #4.  Other KFIZ
hosts making the list include; George Noory (M-F, Mid-4am) #15, Jim Bohannon
(M-F, 9pm-Mid) #17, Kim Komando (Sunday, 2pm-5pm) #29, and Clark Howard (M-F,
12pm-2pm, & Saturday, 12pm to 3pm) #46.
