Lunde Ross Only Incumbent In FDL City Council Race

01-Apr-2013

Rebecca Lunde Ross is the lone incumbent in the race for the Fond du Lac City Council. She is being challenged by newcomers Catherine Block and Dan Manning, and former Council member Sam Meyer in the election for three seats to the Council. Lunde Ross made her thoughs known when the Council decided not to suspend the Retlaw Hotel’s liquor license over huge debt owed the City by the owner. She scolded them, but says it’s not a black and white issue because of the employees that would be affected by that decision. She says she didn’t like the garbage fee, but the City had to find a way to pay for services people want. She says City budgets won’t be getting any easier so they have to evaluate everything they provide.

She never thought twice about the garbage fee. Time for her to go!! Vote Block, Manning and Meyer!!!! Time to send a message that tax payers remember the unnecessary garbage tax.

She really didn't have a choice. Too bad there are so many voters don't understand what the reduction in stared revenue did to the city budget.

Of course she had a choice....and chose not to side with the people of this community. She charged us to pick up garbage instead of cutting back on unecessary projects like the round-abouts on Pioneer. The budget was short 2.8 million and she chose to charge us a non-deductible fee instead of cutting back. Poor choice by a poor politician. Say goodbye to people like that do not servce us, but think we are here to serve them.

Glad to see someone understands the choices that had to be made this past year.

There is so much waste in the county building!! There were choices, she choose to take the easy route and just hit the tax payers with a garbage fee. I say vote her out and send a message!!!

Too bad some of you really don't know what is city budget. Everyone wants services but doesn't want to pay for them.
