Man Hit and Killed by Semi Truck in Dodge County

Dodge County Sheriff’s officials have released the name of the 19-year-old Beaver Dam man who was hit and killed by a semi-tractor-trailer while walking on Highway 151 Monday night. Brandon Greatens died at the scene of the mishap. He was walking in the northbound left lane of Highway 151 at State Highway 33. Forty-six-year-old Steven Purscell of La Vista, Nebraska was driving the northbound semi. He was not injured. The accident in the Town of Beaver Dam was reported at 9:30 p.m.

A 19 year old man is dead after being hit by a semi tractor-trailer while walking along US Highway 151 in the Town of Beaver Dam Monday night. Authorities say the man was walking in the northbound left lane of Highway 151 at State Highway 33 when he was hit by a semi tractor-trailer that was traveling north. The 19 year old was pronounced dead at the scene. The 46 year old driver of the semi was uninjured in the crash. The crash remains under investigation. Assisting the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department at the scene were Beaver Dam Police, Beaver Dam Fire Department and Paramedics and the Dodge County Emergency Response Team. The time of the call was 9:30 pm.
