Marian Food Service Partner Offering Food For The Soul

FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Marian University, along with their food service partner, Sodexo, is offering Food for the Soul, an educational program celebrating the myriad of diverse cultures at Marian, offering ethnic food, along with a brief history of that food. The program will be offered at noon on Fridays in February and on Tuesdays in March, April, and May in the Hornung Student Center.

 

The month of February is dedicated to African-American food to coincide with Black History Month. The schedule for March and April is as follows:

March 6 – Jamaica

March 20 – Haiti

March 27 – France

April 3 – Saudi Arabia

April 10 – Colombia

April 17 – Russia and Latvia

April 24 – Romania

May 4 – Indian

 

The weekly presentations will be led by Marian University faculty and staff. Marian has faculty and staff from Haiti, India, Jamaica, and Scotland.. Currently, Marian serves students from Canada, China, Colombia, Japan, France, Kenya, Latvia, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Sweden.

 

Fond du Lac community members are welcome to join in this program. Lunch is $7.47 per person. In addition to the cafeteria dining, Marian University is also home to Erbert’s & Gerbert’s subs and soups, as well as Starbucks, both housed in the Todd Wehr Alumni Center/Common Grounds.
