Marian Student Nurses Participate In Salute The Troops Race

On May 25, members of the Marian University Student Nurses Association (MUSNA) and nursing faculty participated in the Salute the Troops race as a part of their continuing commitment as nurses to join forces with the White House to improve the care of America’s veterans, military service members and their families. Members of MUSNA participated in the event by either running or assisting at a water station, while nursing faculty served at water stations in order to provide first aid.

“By participating in this event, nursing students and faculty were inspired to confirm their commitment to Joining Forces along with living the values of Marian of service, community and learning,” said Nancy Noble, associate professor of Nursing, “It is important to recognize those who have served our country and support their families who have sacrificed so much.”

Participating in the race were: (Front row, left to right):Klaudya Padilla, Nichole Nelson, Brittani Church, Kaitlin Helgaas (Back row, left to right): Nancy Noble, Jenna Welker, Kate Kwiesielewicz, Chelsea Barbeau, Abby Roskopf, Lynette Rossow, Karen Roberts, Lisa Schmidt.
