Measles Cases Continue to Grow Around U.S, Still None in WI, Yet.

Reports of Measles cases continue to grow around the
United States, and while Wisconsin has not had a reported case yet, surrounding
states continue to see cases pop up. The latest state to have a reported case
is Iowa – where now two reports of the Measles have been confirmed. That leaves
Minnesota as the only neighboring state to Wisconsin that hasn’t had a reported
case this year. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says the disease is
highly contagious and spreads quickly through the air when an infected person
coughs or sneezes. Health officials stress the only way to protect yourself is
to get the Measles vaccine. 90 Measles cases were reported across the U.S. last
week, with 555 cases reported in 20 states this year.
