Meth Becoming A Problem But Heroin Still A Main Focus

Although local officials in Fond du Lac concentrated on methamphetamine during a town hall meeting this week at the Goodrich Little Theatre they haven’t lost sight of the problems heroin and opioids cause. The effort was to educate the public on the dangers of meth, which is becoming a problem in the Fox Valley. Fond du Lac Police Chief Bill Lamb says while meth is making some in-roads in the area, heroin and opioids are still their main focus. During the presentation Lamb told the gathering that last year his officers investigated 12 armed robberies and they know at least 8 of them were drug-related.
