Meyer And Lorrigan Elected FDL City Council President And VP

The Fond du Lac City Council elected a new Council President and Vice President during their organization meeting this evening. Sam Meyer got 4 votes and Lee Ann Lorrigan 2 votes. It’s Meyer’s second stint on the City Council and he says he’s grateful for the opportunity to lead the Council. The Council then voted Lorrigan in as Vice President. She defeated Rob Vande Zande 5 to 1 for the Vice President’s seat. The Council also voted to amend supplemental rules to allow public comments on items not on the agenda to just after the audience comment time during regular meetings. Meyer says it’s a good idea.
