Microtel Robbery Suspect Bound Over For Trial

The 22-year-old Fond du Lac man suspected of robbing the Microtel Inn & Suites last month has waived his preliminary hearing. Ryder Klaassen was bound over for trial during a hearing in Fond dud Lac County Court Friday morning. He also was arraigned and pled not guilty to charges stemming from the August 30th robbery. He is being held in the County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond. Klaassen allegedly threatened an employee of the hotel with a handgun, but no one was hurt in the robbery. Police say he was motivated by a drug habit.
