Milwaukee Man Bound Over For Trial For FDL County Heroin Death

The 66-year-old Milwaukee man who sold heroin that contributed to the overdose death of a Town of Springvale man has been bound over for trial. Alonzo Cornelius was in Fond du Lac County Court Thursday for a preliminary hearing on 1st degree reckless homicide and heroin trafficking charges. He was also arraigned and pled not guilty.  According to the criminal complaint an autopsy showed Devin Perry died of mixed drug intoxication that included heroin on October 12th of 2012.  The heroin Perry used was traced back to Cornelius. Cornelius will be back in court in March for a plea and sentencing hearing and if he maintains his innocence a jury trial is scheduled next May.
