Milwaukee Teen Sentenced For FDL High Speed Chase

The 17-year-old Milwaukee boy who led police on a dangerous high speed chase in Fond du Lac last summer has been sentenced to nine years in prison and three years of extended supervision. Fond du Lac County Judge Robert Wirtz also ordered two years of probation for Matthew Hinkle. Hinkle strong armed and stole a vehicle from someone in Milwaukee on July 8th of last year. When police spotted the vehicle in Fond du Lac Hinkle fled from them. During the pursuit he rammed two squad cars and hit another motorist’s car. The chase ended after he hit that driver’s car at Johnson and National and his vehicle hit a speed sign, light pole and some trees. He tried to flee on foot, but was caught by a police dog.
