Money In The Streets

There was money on several blocks of streets in Oshkosh Tuesday night, but unfortunately that money was counterfeit $20 and $100 bills. Oshkosh Police say it happened in the area near Jackson Street and West Murdock Avenue. Two citizens picked up some of the bills and brought them to police department. Others had stopped to pick up the phony bills. Anyone who picked up those bills is urged to drop them off at the Oshkosh Police Department. Businesses should check to make sure the currency they are receiving is real and if they have a counterfeit bill should contact police. It’s not known who threw out the bogus bills, but if you have information contact Oshkosh Police by calling (920) 236-5700.
