Most Farms Impacted By Grassland Decision Have Found Other Milk Buyers

Congressman Glenn Grothman feels President Trump did the right thing by imposing a tariff on soft lumber from Canada after Canada imposed its own barriers on importing milk from the U.S. He says we don’t want to get into a trade war, but what Canada did to our dairy producers is unfair. He says what Donald Trump did shows that we aren’t going to take that lying down. Grothman says it doesn’t help that our farmers are producing so much milk. He says people don’t realize how efficient dairy farms have become and it is driving down the price of milk. Starting today Grassland Dairy will no longer be buying milk from 58 Wisconsin dairy farms, four of them in Fond du Lac County, but most of those farms have found other buyers.
