MPTC Eisenbahn Trail Connections Dedicated

Students, staff and community members recently gathered on Moraine Park Technical College’s West Bend campus to celebrate the new connection to the Eisenbahn State Trail. “The connection makes the campus easier to reach and provides a great benefit to students,” commented Duane Sexton, Moraine Park’s West Bend Student Senate member. The project was initiated by Moraine Park’s West Bend Campus Student Senate, and through collaboration with community organizations and the College, the project was completed this fall. Eisenbahn is German for “iron road,” and the trail is rightfully named, as it occupies a former Chicago and North Western Railway corridor. The trail spans 25 miles, going through West Bend, Kewaskum, Campbellsport and Eden.
