MPTC Hosts Take Back The Night Effort Tonight

Moraine Park Technical College will be the first technical college in the nation host tonight’s 10 Points of Light to Take Back the Night event. It’s a national effort to support survivors of sexual violence and unite efforts to end sexual violence. Melissa Culpenhaber helped organize the effort. She says they had the executive director of Take Back the Night on campus for a speaking engagement and she was looking for a technical college to be one of the ten hosts for this year’s event. She says the public is welcome to attend the event, which begins with an open house at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria. The program begins at 6:30 with a number of guest speakers. The candlelight vigil and short walk begins at 7:45 p.m. For more details click here
