MPTC Two Efforts To Honor Veterans

Moraine Park Technical College is helping honor veterans in two major ways this week.
The first is a simple way for community members to give back and show support for the men and women who are serving our country overseas.
Students and staff from Moraine Park’s Beaver Dam campus are conducting a “Christmas in a Shoebox” drive again with donations being accepted through noon on Monday, Nov. 6.
Donations can be dropped off at room K-323 on the Beaver Dam campus or with the Student Veterans Specialist on the Fond du Lac campus. Items donated should be new and no larger than shoe box-sized. Suggested items include personal hygiene, snacks and games.

Veterans Recognition in West Bend

The other way veterans will be honored next week by Moraine Park is during a special “Veterans Tribute”  Monday, Nov. 6 at the College’s West Bend campus.
The West Bend Common Council will pay tribute to area veterans at the event, with special recognition going to women who served or continue to serve. The event is open to the public, and is sponsored by the Common Sense Citizens of Washington County.
Refreshments will be served, and free transportation is available to and from meeting for all veterans by calling 262-335-5123. For more information on Moraine Park’s veterans services, visit morainepark.edu
