Mt. Calvary Teen Earns Girl Scouts Highest Honor

It’s the Girl Scouts equivalent of the Eagle Award, and it was recently bestowed upon Amber Rappl of Mount Calvary. Rappl received the prestigious Gold Award from the Manitou Council of Girl Scouts. The project she chose to put her into the position of garnering the Gold Award was the creation of two free mini libraries, with one located in St. Cloud and the other one on Main St. in Mt. Calvary. Amber is the daughter of Janet and Joe Rappl. The Gold Award is Girl Scouting’s highest honor and achieved by only about 5 percent of eligible Girl Scouts.
