Murder In Oshkosh

Update:
An Oshkosh murder suspect was taken into
custody shortly before noon Sunday after someone spotted him walking in the
1500 block of Bowen Street and called 911. Police arrived and took 30-year-old
Samson Gomoll into custody without incident. Police wanted him in connection
with the murder of a 42-year-old woman at 16 West 10th Avenue. She was
discovered dead in an upstairs apartment after police investigated shots being
being fired at the address shortly after 1 a.m Sunday morning. Police issued
photos of Gomoll, a physical description, and description of a vehicle he was
driving while they sought him in connection with the woman’s death. They thank
residents for calling in to report Gomoll’s location.
Police in Oshkosh have located the
vehicle of a suspect in the shooting death of a 42-year-old woman, but not the
suspect. He is 30-year-old Samson Gomol who may have been picked up after
abandoning the 1996 GMC Sierra he was driving or may have fled on foot. Police
say they got a call about gun shots fired at 16 West 10th Avenue at 1:13 a.m.
They found the victim in an upstairs apartment. They say the murder was a
targeted incident. Police say Gomol may be armed and should be considered
dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Oshkosh
Police at 920-236-5700 or 911. They say he is 6 feet tall, about 190 pounds with
brown hair and blue eyes.

Oshkosh Police are investigating a
murder that occurred early this morning. Police got a call about 1:30
a.m. about shots being fired in a home located in the area of 10th Avenue near
Main Street. A 42-year-old woman was found dead in the home. Police are
searching for a man who is a suspect in the woman’s death, but say the public
isn’t in danger. Police say it was a targeted attack.
