Murder Trial Continues In FDL County

The second day of a jury trial for a Fond du Lac woman suspected of shooting her husband to death featured testimony from a woman he had an extramarital affair with. Deb Hilt testified that she and Tim Nance had a relationship from the end of 2007 to the summer of 2009. The two lived together part of that time. Hilt testified that twice Eve Nance had shown up at her residence with a gun and threatened Tim Nance with it. Once was prior to Thanksgiving of 2008 and the other time was after Hilt and Tim Nance were no longer living together. She said that later incident occurred when someone had put something into her drink at a bar and Nance, who was there, took her to her home because she wasn’t feeling well. She said Eve Nance showed up with a handgun and kicked in her door. Hilt testified Eve Nance then placed the barrel of the gun in the back of Tim Nance’s head. Eve and Tim Nance had a few words and then left.  Eve Nance is suspected of shooting Tim Nance twice in the head on November 1st of 2013 at their home in Fond du Lac. She allegedly disposed of his body in some woods in Milwaukee. Tim Nance’s body was found in those woods on Thanksgiving Day of 2013.

Best Friend Of Murder Victim Testifies

The best friend of a Fond du Lac murder victim testified Thursday in a murder trial for the victim’s widow. Eve Nance is suspected of shooting her husband Timothy to death at their home in November of 2013. Brandon Johnson was Tim Nance’s best friend. He testified in a Fond du Lac County Courtroom Thursday that he had concerns when Tim Nance went missing. Eve Nance reported Tim Nance missing on November 5th. Johnson said he was surprised when Tim was reported missing and more so that Eve Nance hadn’t contacted him first. Johnson said he was in the Nance’s home after Tim was reported missing and was speaking with the Nance’s daughter when he noticed a new shower curtain. Tim Nance was alleged shot in the bathroom and Eve Nance later told a detective she used plastic to wrap his body in while she was disposing of it. Tim Nance’s body was found in some woods in Milwaukee on Thanksgiving Day of 2013. Johnson also testified that during a vigil that was held for Tim when he was still believed to be missing that something seemed off with Eve Nance. That she seemed in his words “Emotionless.”
