National Exchange Bank And American Bank Complete Merger

FOND DU LAC, Wisc. – NEB Corp. Chairman and CEO Peter Stone announced today that the two banks held under the NEB Corp. holding company, National Exchange Bank & Trust and American Bank, have successfully merged and are operating under the National Exchange Bank & Trust name.

Jim Chatterton, former American Bank CEO, leads the combined institution as President/Chief Operating Officer of National Exchange Bank & Trust while Eric Stone assumes the position of Chief Executive Officer.

“As we indicated when we announced the merge, the combination of these two institutions, which shared ownership, positions the institution for efficiency and growth while maintaining the independence and quality service of a local bank,” Chatterton stated.

Eric Stone indicated, “Our philosophy of being responsive to the customer and serving our communities with integrity has not changed.  Each of the staff members within our 33 offices throughout Southeastern Wisconsin will continue to meet our customers’ needs in a way that helps the customer succeed with the power and flexibility of a well-positioned, family-owned bank behind them.”

National Exchange Bank has been a pillar of stability since it first opened its doors on December 20, 1933, in downtown Fond du Lac, Wisc. The merged institution now serves Southeastern Wisconsin with 33 locations.  Its geographical reach covers Columbia, Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Marquette, Sheboygan, Washington, Waukesha, Waushara, and Winnebago counties.
