Neighbors Were Included In Thelma Street Party Plans

The Executive Director of the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts says officials with the Fond du Lac Elks Club and Library were informed of their intention to host a street party on June 12th. The City Council this week gave permission for vacating a portion of Sheboygan Street and allowing the consumption of alcohol on the street for the event. Kevin Miller says not only did they inform the Elks Club, but they invited them to be a part of it by cooking out and making some money on it. Two bands will be performing during a free concert and the People’s Choice Award winner will be announced for the current Membership Exhibit, which shows off the talent of local artists. It was a year ago next month that Thelma held its big reveal event.
