New Bus Shelters On The Way

Fond du Lac Area Transit will be replacing 10 of its older bus shelters. Transit Director Lynn Gilles says it will cost about $100,000, which will be funded through a Community Development Block Grant. The grant is being provided through the City’s Community Development Department. A manufacturer is making the shelters and a contractor will install them. The 4 by 8 and 4 by 6 foot shelters will replace the brown shelters with the bubble tops that were originally put in during the 1970s.
