New Chief Conservation Warden Used To Work In FDL County

Former Fond du Lac County Conservation Warden Todd Schaller will be the new chief warden for the Department of Natural Resources. DNR Secretary Cathy Stepp announced the appointment Monday that takes effect in mid-December when Schaller will replace current Chief Warden Randy Stark, who will retire. Stark served as Chief Warden for more than 11 years in his 30-year DNR career. Schaller was a Fond du Lac County Conservation Warden in the 1990s and also served eight years as a warden supervisor for the DNR’s Oshkosh field office. He’s a 24-year veteran of the DNR.
