New Emergency Room Doctor At Waupun Memorial Hospital

Agnesian HealthCare welcomes Yves-Mario Piverger, MD, to its Emergency Department at Waupun Memorial Hospital, 620 W. Brown Street.

As an Emergency Department physician, Dr. Piverger has special training to treat diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries, which require immediate medical intervention.  Although emergency medicine doctors are not responsible for the long-term care of the patient, their work in conducting the initial diagnosis is paramount for the prognosis of the patient’s condition.

“I am looking forward to serving the emergency needs of Waupun area individuals and families,” says Dr. Piverger. “I am joining a dedicated team of physicians, nurses and other caregivers with the goal of providing the highest quality of care utilizing the larger resources of Agnesian HealthCare.”

Dr. Piverger comes to Waupun Memorial Hospital from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health where he served as the clinical assistant professor in the department of Family Medicine. He has interests in global and public health.

A graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, Dr. Piverger completed a maternal child health fellowship at PCC West Suburban Medical Center. He is board certified in Family Medicine, and has additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation, Pediatric Advanced Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. He is fluent in English, Spanish (with an interpreter due to regional differences), French and Creole.

“We know that a trip to the Emergency Department can be very frightening,” says Dr. Piverger. “Our goal is to work closely with our patients and their families to help guide them through their care, from diagnosis to treatment to discharge, to make the process as smooth as we can for them.”
