NFDL Considers Using Second Ambulance For Non-Emergency Transfers

The North Fond du Lac Village Board is considering ambulance transport services to generate more revenue with their second ambulance. Village Administrator Chuck Hornung says they have two ambulances and their primary ambulance hands the majority of their calls. He says they could use the second ambulance to do some non-emergency transfers. He says that could include transfers from St Agnes Hospital or clinics like the two they have in the Northgate Business Park. He says they wouldn’t do any transfers that require advanced care. He says last year their second ambulance only had 46 calls all year long.
