NFDL Fire Dept Open House Today

There’s an open house at the North Fond du Lac Fire Department today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is a chance to meet firefighters and EMTs, tour the station and its vehicles, witness an auto extrication and see a Flight for Life helicopter. Agnesian HealthCare will have representatives there to talk about strokes and the Stop the Bleed campaign. Fire Chief Jake Flaherty says Stop the Bleed is about training people on how to use tourniquets and help people during mass casualty incidents. The North Fond du Lac Fire Department Association Raffle drawing will also be held with the top prizes being $1,000, $500 and $250. Proceeds help to purchase equipment. Brats and burgers will also be for sale.
