NFDL House Fire

 Update:

North Fond du Lac Police and Fire Departments are getting some help investigating the cause of a house fire at 1011 Wisconsin Avenue. Police Sergeant Tim Bakri says a detective with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department processed the scene. Sheriff’s Lieutenant Cameron McGee says at this point the exact cause of the fire is undetermined. Bakri says the resident of the home was arrested for a probation violation that wasn’t related to the blaze. Fire Chief Jake Flaherty says the fire caused extensive damage to the second floor. He says there was minor water damage to first floor and basement. The time of the fire call was 12:17 Tuesday afternoon.  

Firefighters in North Fond du Lac put out a house fire at 1011 Wisconsin Avenue Tuesday afternoon. Fire Chief Jake Flaherty says the two story home was on fire when they arrived.  He says when they first arrived there were flames and smoke coming out of the second story of the single family home. Flaherty says the home was vacant. The owner arrived to pick up mail and noticed the fire. North Fond du Lac got mutual aid from the City of Fond du Lac, Van Dyne, Lamartine and Eldorado Fire Departments and RIT District 1 team. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is being determined.
