NFDL Man Arrested After Overdose

North Fond du Lac Police Chief Darren Pautsch says a 23-year-old North Fond du Lac man is lucky to be alive after he was found passed out in a restroom at the Stretch Truck Stop Tuesday afternoon. He says his officers and EMS found drugs on a toilet and a syringe on the man and determined he had overdosed on heroin. They used Narcan to reverse the effects and bring the man around. The man was taken to St. Agnes Hospital were he was treated and released. He was then taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of Possession of Narcotic Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia. Chief Pautsch says unfortunately these types of incidents are increasing. He says given the increase of heroin and opiate use you should never make an assumption when you see someone faint or pass out.
