NFDL Man Facing Charges For Firing Guns At Mobile Home Park

A 45-year-old North Fond du Lac man is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail after firing off a handgun and rifle at a village mobile home park late Thursday night. North Fond du Lac Police Chief Darren Pautsch says no one was hurt during the incident at the Gaslight Terrace Mobile Home Park. He says the man was outside randomly shooting rounds from the two guns. Pautsch says the man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and marijuana. He says the man cooperated with officers when they arrived. He offered no resistance and put down the rifle. The man was at his girlfriend’s residence at 53 Mockingbird Lane. She had gone to work. Chief Pautsch says there didn’t appear to be any property damage because most of the shots were fired into the ground. The man told officers he was “just making sure his guns work.” He’s facing possible 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, endangering safety with a firearm and possession of marijuana charges. The incident was reported shortly after 11:30 Thursday evening.
