NFDL Village Board Refers Parking Request To Board Of Appeals

The North Fond du Lac Village Board recently discussed a request from a resident who wanted to park a large RV near his home. Village Administrator Chuck Hornung says the Village has an ordinance regulating the size of RVs or boats that they allow to be parked near a home. He says the RV is a 37 to 40 foot motor home that is almost as big as a Greyhound Bus. He says the resident ran into issues with setbacks and neighbors. He says the village board decided to let the Board of Appeals handle the issue since it was essentially a variance request. He says the current ordinance doesn’t allow a large RV or boat to be parked next to a residence if it extends beyond the length of a residence.
