Oakfield Couple Charged In Domestic Incident

The Oakfield couple who got in a struggle last Saturday that led to the deployment of the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s armored vehicle has been charged. Jacki and Peter Callies got into an argument about her former fiancé who has been deceased for several years. According to the criminal complaint when Sheriff’s deputies responded to the residence on Kenyon Road the three people in the residence would not answer the door. Eventually Peter Callies exited the home with a stab wound to the upper right shoulder. Jacki Callies later told investigators that while she and her husband were in the kitchen he would choke her until she nearly passed out, then let go. When he let her go one of those times and began advancing toward her again she grabbed a knife from a knife block and stabbed him. It took 10 to 15 staples at St. Agnes Hospital to close that wound. Jacki and Peter Callies are free after posting $500 cash bonds. She has a preliminary hearing on May 4th and his preliminary hearing is on April 12th.
