One Applies For FDL City Council Vacancy
City officials have only received one application so far for a vacancy on the Fond du Lac City Council. Nicholas Stoffel, who also applied for a previous vacancy this year, is the only person who has applied for the vacancy created by Rob Vande Zande’s resignation last month. The deadline for applying for the vacancy is next Friday. Interviews will be conducted on September 6th, 9th and 10th if necessary. The Council is hoping to fill the vacancy when they meet on September 11th. Vande Zande resigned to take care of his ailing wife. His term runs until next April. Fourteen people applied earlier this year to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Councilman Jim Sabel. Karyn Merkel was appointed to fill that vacancy. (Photo Rob Vande Zande).
