One Dead In Dodge County Accident

At
approximately 4:04am Dodge County Central Communications received a report of a
two motor vehicle traffic crash on USH 151 south of N. Salem Rd. in the town of Calamus

 

Initial
investigation determined that a 29 year old male from the city of Lake Mills was operating
a 2000 Volkswagen Passat southbound in the northbound lanes of USH 151.  This vehicle collided with a 2000 Chevrolet
Silverado pickup truck that was traveling northbound on USH 151 and was
operated by a 26 year old female from the city of Beaver Dam.

 

The
female operator was transported to Beaver
Dam Community
Hospital
by Beaver Dam
EMS after sustaining non-life threatening injuries.  The male operator was pronounced dead at the
scene of the crash by the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office.

 

Assisting
at the scene of the traffic crash were the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Dodge
County Crash Investigation Team, Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office, Beaver
Dam Police Department, Beaver Dam Fire Department, Beaver Dam EMS, Columbus
Fire Department and DCERT.

 

Initial
investigation shows alcohol may have been a factor in the traffic crash.
