One Killed One Seriously Injured In Crash At AirVenture
A 74-year-old Kentucky man died and a woman was injured when a custom-built Breezy aircraft crashed at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh Thursday morning. EAA officials say they don’t know if the plane was taking off or landing when it bounced and then crashed near some military trucks Oshkosh Corporation was storing on the grounds. Both were taken to a local hospital. The pilot died of his injuries and the woman is in serious condition. The accident happened about 9 a.m. and led to the closing of airport for about an hour.
