Online Petition Seeks To Keep Gerald Turner In Prison

The mother of a Fond du Lac girl who was killed on Halloween night in Fond du Lac in 1973 is trying to prevent the release from prison of the man who killed her daughter. Lisa Ann French was trick or treating when she stopped at the home of Gerald Turner. Turner was convicted of killing French and leaving her body in a farm field. French’s mother, Maryann Gehring, has begun an online petition hoping to prevent Turner’s release. He is supposed to be released on February 7th.  Twice before he was released, but was sent back to prison in 2003 for violating his parole. It was French’s murder that led to the creation of the KFIZ Halloween Party, which promotes safe trick or treating.

He MUST not be released! He should die in prison for what he did to this beautiful little girl! I remember this story like most people in the FDL area do and this monster will never serve his sentence long enough in my opinion! Sign this petition everyone!

This monster should never see the light of day! He took the life of an innocent child and allowing him out will most likely lead to the death of another child. I am praying the petition goes through and keeps him locked up for the rest of his natural life. He doesn't deserve to be out with people.
