Opiod Forum Next Week In FDL For People Who Want To Help With The Problem

Area residents who would like to help with the four pillar approach to doing something about Fond du Lac’s opiod problem are invited to attend a forum next week at the police station. District Attorney Eric Toney, the police department, and Drug Free Communities of Fond du Lac County are putting on the program at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4th. Police Chief Bill Lamb says the four pillars are prevention and education, harm reduction, law enforcement and treatment. Chief Lamb says treatment is important in tackling the problem. DA Eric Toney says it’s hard to miss all the educational efforts there have been about the problem. He says several agencies are working toward the same end, but there has been no duplication of efforts.
