Oregon Man Charged For Marijuana Trafficking

A 43-year-old Grants Pass, Oregon man was charged in Washington County Court for allegedly bringing nearly 5 pounds of high grade marijuana to Wisconsin to sell. The Washington County Drug Task Force stopped William Campbell on September 29th with 4.9 pounds of marijuana. It had a street value of more than $27,000. It’s believed he got it from an outdoor grow site in California. Under California law marijuana can be grown legally. However it is illegal to take it to a state like Wisconsin where it is illegal.  The Drug Task Force had previously conducted a controlled purchase from Campbell of 1.25 pounds of marijuana in August, which is the basis for the related delivery of marijuana charge. Campbell is charged with felony marijuana trafficking and possession charges. His next hearing is scheduled for November 26th.
