Oshkosh Man Hit And Killed By Train
A 20-year-old Oshkosh man was hit and killed by a Canadian
National freight train early Saturday morning. Oshkosh Police say the train was
heading north approaching Fond du Lac Road when it struck the man who was a
pedestrian on the tracks. It is not known why he was on the tracks. A railroad
employee told the Winnebago County 911 Emergency Center the train struck
something a few hundred feet south of Fond du Lac Road. There was no road
intersection or pedestrian crossing where the collision occurred. The fatal
collision happened about 12:15 a.m.
