Oshkosh PD Investigates Two Incidents

03-Sep-2013

The Oshkosh Police Department is investigating two separate attempted assaults on females in the UW-Oshkosh area.

The first incident occurred on Woodland Ave. at about 4 a.m. on Monday, September 2, 2013.  The female reported that she was walking home and noticed a male following her.  As she attempted to open her door, the male grabbed her.  The female fought off the subject and was able to enter her residence.  The Oshkosh Police Department checked the area, but could not locate the male.    The male is described as being black in his 20’s wearing khaki shorts, a light colored shirt and a baseball cap.  The female was not injured in the incident.

The second incident occurred on Jackson St. at about 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2013.  The female was walking home and noticed a male following her.  The female said she went to enter her residence and the male attempted to grab her.  When the male noticed she was on the phone with 911, he ran from the residence.  The female was not able to get a physical description of the male and was not injured in the incident.  The Oshkosh Police Department checked the area, but did not locate the suspect.

The Oshkosh Police Department believes that these incidents are related.
